The day most Ghanaians have been waiting for is finally here. The biggest match of the season between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko has dominated social media trends since morning and it is no surprise because the two biggest teams are in neck and neck race for the Ghana Premier League title.
The two teams are level 56 points at the top of the table and whoever wins likely to be crowned champion at the end of the season. Hearts of Oak haven’t won a league title since 2009 while Kotoko last victory came in 2014. But in 2019, they won the NC Special Competition which was created in the absence of the league after Anas expose. The Porcupine Warriors beat Hearts en route to lifting the trophy which permitted them to represent Ghana in Africa.
Let me officially welcome you to our coverage of promises to be a thrilling contest. It is, however, unfortunate that the stadium will not be filled to capacity due to Covid-19. Only 25% representing 10,000 spectators will be allowed into the Accra Sports Stadium.
